When I proposed the need for an AI consortium to Brandon Allgood in 2017 it was just an idea. But when Annastasiah joined the effort, AAIH was born. She was the first general manager and organizer of this consortium who brought together many competitors and partners, pharma companies, and academics. She introduced the formal structure, defined the goals, set up the committees, and pretty much singlehandedly turned it into a leading industry organization. We pre-launched it together in Basel in September 2018 and then formally launched at MedTech Showcase in January 2019. It was the largest launch event during the JP Morgan with over a thousand preregistered delegates. With an undergrad in chemistry, a PhD in molecular medicine from Johns Hopkins, and years of business development and licensing experience in large and small organizations, Annastasiah was the perfect catalyst for AAIH to come together. Annastasiah understands both the AI and the pharma aspect and knows how to balance the power and make business happen.
